Tuscany, Italy: Working with the University of Detroit Mercy's Pagnotta Campus, a variety of programs are available. Groups will spend most time at the Pagnotta Campus in the Medieval hilltop town of Volterra. They will also visit the iconic Renaissance city of Florence along with day trips to Pisa and Siena. If groups wish, day trips to Rome and Assisi can be added. Some of the world's most famous art and architecture are the backdrop of any journey to Tuscany; theology, philosophy, and history provide the palette for that art. Tuscany also provides an opportunity to study STEM topics through ancient engineering, sustainable farming, and geothermal energy. Classes in watercolor painting and alabaster sculpting are available.
